5 apps for the money your bank app can't see

A bank app knows what left the account. It does not know that the $40 was split three ways, that the subscription is about to renew, that the points are sitting unclaimed, or that the return window closes on Friday. These five each keep one of those records the bank never gets.

   Skip it if you split a lot of expenses — the free version now caps how many you can add, and reviewers who used it for years say the features they relied on have moved behind the subscription.

   Scan the receipt; it reminds you before the warranty or return window ends.

   Skip it if you need the receipts back out at tax time — there is no export or printing, and the folders are preset, with only a few you can rename.
